Chapter 3: The First Snows
My name is Fex. I am a Snap.
I wake up. I stretch. I yawn.
Soon will be the Deep Winter party. I am very excited.
I meet my friends. Boo, Beck and Vel. Boo and Beck are hungry. They want breakfast.
We go to the magical, musical ice tree. At the party will be wonderful music. The tree is ready! The icicles are lovely!
‘I will be a master musician one day,’ I say to my friends.
‘Go on then,’ says Boo.
‘Play us some music now,’ says Boo.
I want to show them I am good. So I start to play.
I hit the icicles with sticks.
Ping ping. Ting ting. Dong dong.
I hit a big icicle. Oh no! All the icicles fall off!
Chapter 4: sticky things
We must stick the icicles back on the tree!
Quick! Find sticky stuff!
Boo finds spider silk. Spider silk does not work.
Vel and Beck try tree sap. Tree sap does not work.
I am very sad. I cry.
What can we do? How can we fix the ice tree?
We must ask someone clever to help us.
‘I know,’ says Vel. ‘Follow me.
